It will depend on what form you are eating. In general, a small to medium piece of fruit is a serving. A serving of cut-up fruit and vegetables is ½ cup; a serving of dried fruit is ¼ cup, and a serving of lettuce greens is 1 cup. Recommendations for fruits and vegetables are given either as number of servings needed per day, or number of cups needed per day.
