What is the nutrtional value of edamame beans and how are they best prepared?Thank you

Edamame, or green soybeans, are a good source of vitamin A, calcium, and iron, low in sodium, saturated fat and cholesterol free. Visit our Fruit & Veggie Nutrition Database for nutritional information of over 150 varieties of fruit and vegetables. They are great steamed and coated with a small amount of salt, added to stir-fries, topped over brown rice, as a substitute in any recipe that calls for sugar snap peas, or in our Blueberry Shrimp Salad.

  1. Soo..I prepared the amdinare..tasted it..not particularly impressed..(actually worried..not sure whether to stir the sugar until it completely dissolved..taste very salty). Decided to take a leap of faith and forged ahead. OMG .I think this will be my new signature dish..delish. I served it with grilled dutch gold baby potatoes and veggies. Can’t wait to try it with rice.Thank you very much for posting this under the Food Network Grilling topic.Good tip on the tin foil as well
