when i put some of my bing cherries in the fridge, it looks like there is little white worms on the outside of the cherries.

This could be a sign of spoilage. The best way to store Bing cherries is to place unwashed Bing cherries in a plastic bag and store in a refrigerator. When you are ready to eat them, wash them and let them sit until they come to room temperature. This will bring out their full flavor. Fresh cherries should be consumed with in 2 to 4 days. Fresh Bings can be frozen to extend their storage time. When freezing, remember to remove the pit to decrease the chances of developing an almond-like flavor. Cherries should be frozen in an air tight bag for up to 12 months. Visit our Nutrition, Selection, and Storage section for all your fruit and vegetable questions.
