Why is it that if I eat plenty of fruit, I will still want to have something sugary such as a donut (especially at night)?

Fruit usually satisfies a sugar craving so it could be simply that you are in the habit of eating baked goods. You might try substituting healthier baked goods (like a fruit cobbler) for your donuts- you can find some in our recipe section by clicking here.
