You state on your website that blueberries can be stored frozen for 6 mths. I thought it was much longer than this – why such a short period of time?

The product is certainly still safe to eat if it has been kept frozen longer than 6 months.  It’s just that after a certain point in time foods that are frozen for a long time start to take on an odd taste, often called “freezer burn.”  A good rule of thumb to assure best flavor would be about 6 months.
